NIGHT SHIFT
Job Title: System Management Server

• Work with ITS to upgrade SMS to the latest version.
• Install the sites and system hierarchy with security in mind.
• Create SMS MMC consoles as needed.
• Create custom scripts for use in SMS and specialized tools.
• Create software packages using various tools to upgrade all workstation OS (Windows XP and Apple OSX) and applications packages in accordance with the OSU MCSS policy.
• Perform SQL server administration as needed for SMS.
• Manage collections and the upgrade process for all workstations providing capacity planning and system monitoring.
• Create management status reports on upgrades to OS and applications on all workstations.
• This position utilizes SMS and Apple Update Server.
• Work with PC technicians to resolve any problems with workstations receiving updates.
• Although much of the startup work with have to be completed on-site eventually this position may work remotely via VPN connection.

Must have

* Exp in installing the sites

* Exp apple up date server
